Karen Morton

Karen was Playmate of the Month for July 1978. Her pictorial was titled All in the Family.

Karen was born Oct. 3, 1958, in Palmdale, CA. She attended North Hollywood High School, where she was involved with jazz dancing for two years. She later attended Valley College. Her first job was modeling shoes at a shoe store. She was spotted by a photo coordinator for Oui magazine while shopping for groceries with her grandmother. It was her grandmother who encouraged her to start posing for magazines.

With her modest size 32B bust, Karen has the distinction of being the Playmate with the smallest breasts. Her cousin Elaine Morton was the Playmate of the Month for June, 1970.

Karen dated network executive Michael Lesner while still a Playmate. She later married film composer Keith Forsey; the couple had a daughter named Natalia before eventually splitting up.

Karen had a brief acting career in the early 1989s. She played a vestal virgin in the comedy film “History of the World: Part I” and appeared as herself on an episode of the comedy variety TV show “Pink Lady.” She also portrayed Jenny in the music video for “867-5309/Jenny” by Tommy Tutone.

Karen studied special effects at Long Beach University, did modeling for ads, commercials and magazines. She lived in Sherman Oaks, CA, and regularly appeared at numerous autograph shows held all over America.

In 2004 Karen was stricken with Stevens-Johnson Syndrome, a rare illness which unfortunately rendered her almost completely blind. She died from organ failure due to complications from the disease on Feb. 11, 2014.
